Aeropress
Inherited this from a former housemate so price wasn't a factor but easy to brew with and portable
Sey Coffee
First beans that made me taste notes. Little Flower Cafe in Astoria also uses/sells Sey.
Phin filter
Traditionally used for vietnamese coffee but I like it for a strong brew that doesn't require a paper filter. Can also buy from most Asian grocery/kitchen stores for $5
La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser
Light cleanser, doesn't leave residue, and you get a lot of it for cheap! Bought at Target
Milani Tubing Mascara
I have super oily lids and this is the first mascara I've used that hasn't smudged. Comes right off with regular cleanser/water. Only con is that it doesn't hold a curl very well. This one is affordable, haven't tried other brands
Trader Joe's Daily Facial Sunscreen
Gel sunscreen so not oily at all, supposed to be a dupe for the Supergoop one.

Best pancakes don't @ me. Sam the owner is very friendly, comes from a fine dining background
260 Sample Sale
Discounted stuff from nice/luxury brands. Multiple locations around NYC (& other cities)
American Horticultural Society Membership
Membership to a national network of gardens which includes NY Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Annual fee is cheaper than getting membership to the individual gardens (although you miss out on some perks).
BBF
Cafe during the day that serves coffee, matcha, hojicha, etc and has very reasonably priced lunch/snack items. Plenty of seating as they operate as a restaurant after 5pm.
InKind
App that gives you 20% back from your check, in addition to occasional coupons like $25 off $50. Lots of good restaurants/bars in the network, like The Modern, Superiority Burger, Gramercy Tavern, The Dead Rabbit, Death & Co., etc.
Pure Project
So good at brewing all styles, from IPAs to BA sours to stouts. All their locations (SD) are nice to chill at, very aesthetic.
Hudson Valley Brewery
One of the few breweries I've found for amazing sour IPAs. They have a very cute location in Beacon (definitely worth a visit) but their beers are also available in most beer stores/taprooms in NYC.
Modern Times Beer
Does everything well, but the trendy/experimental beers at the taprooms are particularly great. Fruitlands is one of my favorites, very refreshing and available year round. Bigger brewery with locations across SoCal and more distribution.

The OG classic. Order these to a state that doesn't ban kangaroo leather or you'll get a cow leather version.
Running Gloves
Love these for winter, super thin and unobtrusive for running around in. I find them warm enough but I do run hot
Soccer Shop Kamo
Store in Tokyo that has multiple floors of everything soccer. I got insoles that I really like for my cleats!

Must-have in my kitchen! Best pan for high heat cooking (stir fries, browning, etc) because it retains so much heat. Also can be used for stewier dishes or frying. Oven safe. I doubt there is much variation between brands
Bunka Knife
I like this style of knife - tried it out and bought one Kamata on Kappabashi Street (Tokyo). Now it's the only knife I use
CB2 Glasses
Minimalist glasses. The thinness feels elegant to me, but they are probably more fragile. At this price point it doesn't matter.
IKEA Dish Cloths
These are very absorbent, great for cleaning up kitchen spills. The other IKEA dish towels are cuter but not as absorbent.

I like that this brand of bidet can turn on with consistent pressure by just pressing a button - I prefer this to the style that turns on with a pressure dial. Also very easy to install!
